Even though I nothing learned with strength I burn I consider myself an objective humanist who strives to lead an empirical existence. I got out of an 8 year relationship recently and am in search of a girl who can be my muse and with whom I can connect on a cerebral, as well as carnal, level. I have a wry and irreverant sense of humor and attempt to keep a sharp wit. Loyalty and respect are the most important qualities I possess and look for in friends. I look forward to a time when the Abrahamic religions are regarded in the same context as any dead mythologies; as moral parables (hardly if you're referencing the old testament), and as insight into the mind of the writers and their contemporary zeitgeist. My ultimate goal in life is to become a physicist and devise a grand unified theory...but I've no dilusions of grandeur. Um I drink occasionally (Guinness and single malt scotch) and smoke (tabacky of the whacky and normal variety, though I'd like to kick the latter). My musical taste is predominated by various metal sub-genres but also consists of everything from classical, to gangsta rap, and even lady gaga...just kidding...kind of...I believe what truly makes us human is denying our animal instincts (sexuality being the one concession)and always learning. Excelsior and such..going back to the animal instincts though, I contend that the supposedly deadly sins make perfect sense from a Darwinian perspective and the sooner we realize we are all Homo Sapiens, and even better that we and every creature on this planet are Earthlings, the sooner we'll stop fearing and hating each other and finally assemble towards a common goal of globalization and world peace, if you'll excuse the cliche. I agree with Einstein in that science and art are mankind's greatest achievements, and dislike closed-minded liars who are blinded by faith or ignorance. In parting I'll say morality and religiosity aren't mutually exclusive, and the only rule one needs to live life by, if I can indulge in a cliche again, is the golden rule
