Surrounded in the bible belt - not loving it.... Well I have been trying to make a life work by keeping my mouth shut(for the most part) but I have come to a point that I just can't pretend that these people around me are not just being ridiculous. I mean supposedly intelligent, educated people are running around "praising" and "worshipping" like ancient mystical mayans. Now I used to just find this amusing but it's just frustrating now and I hope there really are people out there who have had the same experience.
I know that life and the human experience just do not require this mass delusion to be made sense of, but I am tired of trying to convince everyone around me that they do not need to be scared of a vengeful santa claus in order to be good people- it just hasn't worked so i would rather just find someone who already knows this.
I have a wander---- that not only applies to geography but to everything - from cooking to music and cinema- I enjoy and want to try everything. Some days I enjoy trying a new recipe or restaurant- maybe something shown by Anthony Bourdain ? Others I just want to hop in my jeep and drive through the desert,or go flying or skiing. Still others I want to eat buttered popcorn at the movies or play pool and do tequila shots, or head to the museum district.
I have never been married or had kids- but have come close and seem to end up in long-term relationships. I am recently separated and I think the difference in religious beliefs had something to do with that so thinking about trying to start off in the right direction this time. 2000 characters is not close to enough to describe my life
so better just quit here. I would like to meet someone(s) who feel like I do- if even for friendship and support. I am currently in Dallas but would really like to relocate- can't stand it here anymore- if I didn't have 3 sisters and parents here I would have left already!
