There is no God, but there is the numinous. While I do commend the implacable quest to eradicate fallacy from the mind of man, one needn't be so ardent in the desire to purge all semblance of the numinous from the face of the Earth.

Clouds of luminous stars within the myriad galaxies, the wind driving the waves to break upon towering cliffs of stone, the rain playing music on the forest canopy above my head...it is in these things - and not in God - that beauty and meaning are to be found.
