I'm still an active young man. I'm seeking an attractive lady who speaks her mind and is independent, but loves intelligent company. You need to be sassy, with a lot of wit. I have a dry, corny sense of humor and I need a special someone to give it right back. I'm a former Marine (4 years infantry) and love to play trivia games. I've been divorced for 16 years. When I retire, I will get a small house at the beach and play in the sun and water forever, hopefully with you!

I love to travel. June 2010 I spent two weeks in Amsterdam and Brussels. I consider myself an American first and foremost, but also a citizen of the world.

I'm an avid reader. I'm currently reading Einstein's bio by Walter Isaacson. Some of my favorite authors are Tom Robbins, Stephen Jay Gould, Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens. I think Bill Maher is a hoot!!

Favorite rock bands - The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Who, Steely Dan, Talking Heads and Billy Joel.

I am pro-choice, very liberal and a kind hearted gentleman.

I am fascinated by science documentaries concerning astronomy, cosmology, biology and evolution. Astronomical observatories are my cathedrals; museums are my houses of worship.


Some of the things I am NOT into: NASCAR, FOX Noise, most country music, pro wrestling/UFC and right wing conservative republicans. If you voted for Dubya, or think that Bill O'Reilly or Sean Hannity is the cat's meow, keep fishing.

I hope I'm not sounding like an old curmudgeon. But we are defined by what we like as well as what we don't like.
