I was born and raised catholic, and went to catholic school through highschool. early on I realized religion, especially organized religion, to be bunk. As time passed I became uninterested in what my peers would refer to as individual spirituality as well. Ultimately I came to peace with and maintain several pleasant relationships with religious people, it is simply not for me and is something I dislike seeing driving public policy. Moreover, many religious rules dictate the way a relationship would unfold, which I am unintersted in. Someone who shares a general disinterest in religion would be appealing due to the opportunity to build a genuine relationship without concern for how it will fit into a rigid context of worship.
