Aschoolforants, 39

I keep writing this paragraph and then deleting it because it sounds like a resume ....I'm 25 and on a ridiculously unconventional path through life. Some people would look at my life story and see it as a failure so far, or me as some lazy guy that drinks too much and doesn't pay enough attention to what's "supposed" to be important according to normal civilization. I look at it as my refusal to go down any path that i am not completely happy with, my love for good friends and good fun, and a laid back, light-hearted, goofy, and supremely confident attitude that everything will be just how it should be in the end. We all die eventually, why should i define my life by what other people consider to be success at this point in my life? I do not plan on being a 40 year old man that hates his job, is in an un-fulfilling relationship and is generally angry at life, but from the outside looks great because he has a 401k, a Mercedes, and a big house (though i really hope i do). Sometimes I make bad decisions, go on random trips, skip work when i know i shouldn't, drink too much on a weeknight, but its all in the name of living life. Don't take this the wrong way, I am a very sane, safe, and otherwise normal person 99% of the time, but i like to think i never let my inner child die, and sometimes i just let him take the wheel completely, that's all.
