Seeking friends to share common interests
Here I am, feeling all alone, not to mention waaay outnumbered, in the bible belt! I`m looking for like-minded people to whom I can relate (and, more to the point, people that don`t suspect I`m going straight to hell!). I would like to locate a community (even if it`s just a community of two- me and you) to do things with- like hiking, movies, dinner- all the usual suspects. Regarding my religious views, I look at the big 3 western/mid-east religions in basically the same way most people consider Greek or Roman or any ancient mythology- as myth. If it helps someone sleep better at night, more power to them- just don`t tread on me, brother. Sadly there seems to be a lot of treading these days. At this point, I subscribe somewhat to the Sam Harris perspective that the world may well be a better place without religion and its exclusionary and often oppressive and violent practices. Meanwhile, I could use some new friends. I`m getting Jesus chain emails every day at work! Hel
