*nalytical, Endearing, & Mysterious About me ...

Well, I'll begin with how the people I know perceive me based on my interactions and experiences with them, as opposed to an "ontological" description of myself. My friends enjoy my company for my spirited humor and laid back demeanor, and say that my level of maturity and depth of insight are beyond my years. They often say that I am very generous, compassionate, and worldly.

Although I do harbor a witty, humorous, and blithesome side to my personality, I tend to be very *nalytical and contemplative at times, and I love to read about science, history, philosophy, psychology, and current events, and in general, I like to read and learn about a wide gamut of subjects and keep myself informed and abreast of things. I espouse a naturalistic and secular worldview, vehemently oppose and question any form of dogmatic authority, and strongly believe in the importance of critical thinking and a rational approach to life.

I have traveled quite a bit across the US, South-East Asia, and of course, scoured the landmarks of India more than once, and I would love to see a lot more of the world and immerse myself in the history, culture, and ethos of those places. I used to play the guitar (I was a guitarist in a band), but that was over 4 years ago, and my fingers barely seem to recognize the fretboard anymore (hyperbole)! I just pick it up now and again when I have a sudden muse or a desire to flex my fingers. This interest is something that I'd certainly love to resurrect, and someday attain the virtuosity that I've so often dreamt of!

What I'm looking for ...

I'd like to meet and get to know someone who is independent, kind, passionate, and knows what she wants out of life and is striving to achieve them. I believe that honesty, trust, communication, and compromise, while maintaining a strong sense of individuality and autonomy, are paramount to a successful relationship.
