Torn about Religion At about age 14 I started questioning religion; I was raised Methodist. Attended church and sunday school while I was little - I remember that I did used to believe in God and would pray each night next to my bed. When I got into middle school I started really thinking hard about things like religion and it occurred to me one day that it was a bunch of crap what I'd been taught to believe. Now 12 years later, I've never really thought much else about or explored other religions to see if I believe in any of the others but overall I've just felt like I would be an impostor to attempt to believe in something when I know deep down in my heart I don't think there's anything (well I mean maybe some big force or something driving it all) but I don't think there's a God or heaven or hell... some people in my fam like my mom have a hard time understanding why I don't have faith and think I'll grow up one day and believe
