Hi,

This is my first ever attempt at an online dating site. I have only been in Fl for a brief time and I don't meet a lot of new people, much less people who share my views on religion. I am likely to be found reading a book, or watching a lecture or debate on religion online....or just watching netflix. I really enjoy religious debate/discussion whether it be with a fellow atheist, middle grounder, or fundy. Although I tend to scare off fundies. Logic and reason are equivalent to attacks and hate speech to many of them it seems. I do have a collection of friends however who believe but have come to terms with the fact that I don't. These friendly debates are some of the best.
A lot of my hobbies have fallen to the wayside since moving, since I tend to put things off and have also entered a new and very different career path, but some of my favorites are hiking and shooting. Since moving I did learn to sail, but I still need to follow up the class with a lot of practice. Snorkeling and diving hopefully in my future also.

Although I want to find someone to get out and do things with I also appreciate the comfort of just being able to "be" with someone. I love it when I am in the room with someone and the silence is enjoyable, not awkward. I also really appreciate a partner who has their own goals and ambitions. I want a partner, someone to share a life with, I don't want someone who can't stand on their own. On the flip side of that; I am also not a guy who will try to hold you back from exploring your passions or ambitions because of my own petty insecurities. Being able to learn, grow,adapt, and have new experiences is something to be cherish, not restricted!
