My name is Jim. I am a secular humanist. I believe that religion's place is in churches and private homes and NOT in public schools or government buildings. I value humanity and freedom, both of which I feel are harmed by religion. I've only officially been an atheist for about a year now but it was a long time coming. Now, I hope to encourage people to think critically about their beliefs because I think that through logic and reason, humanity can outgrow the comfort blanket known as religion.
