I had my first "doubt" in sunday school when I was around 7 maybe. the picture of a white jesus struck me as unrealistic propaganda (I liked the punch and cookies), always filled in "none" for religion when asked in elementary school up (when they used to do that). I didn't even know (or care really) what an "atheist" was until my 20's if not later after having a kid and then caring where the world was going. when it was just me, they stayed out of my way and vice versa. now I speak up

anyhow, would be nice to have some friends to talk to about stuff that gets the locals uptight. Sagan's Cosmos TV series also had a big impact in making me understand reality and our little ball of dirt's place in it. we are here for the same reason all life is...to survive and reproduce (and have fun while we can). folks who think there's something lacking with that and turn to religion are just looking for promised eternal life to stay off their fear of death. my fractal omniverse theory is mainly that universes are formed within black holes, they exist at a smaller plane with the same physical properties (SOL, etc) but at their scale. so black holes within our universe contain universes within and ours exists in a black hole in the plane "above" ours. you could call these dimensions but that implies same scaling. anyhow, the fractal nature of this omniverse is the main thing, like small soap bubbles within larger bubbles. this still doesn't resolve how the first one was created but does extend the physical omniverse to infinity.
