What are any of us looking for on this website, really? What makes us lean toward our atheist and skeptical nature as the primary factor for deciding on a potential match here? In my opinion, it may have to do with our past experiences of meeting people and begin to grow closer, only to discover that they're not as open, or honest, or accepting of who we are and how we engage in our relationships. I can honestly say, that I feel a little odd about putting myself onto a page before ever getting the chance to talk to someone in person. Not to say it doesn't, make it easier, but I think the common convention of meeting someone new through work or at a bar or a sporting event is so engrained into our culture that it seems a little strange to actively seek out a forum purposefully designed to get past the slow stages of feeling out the person you're talking to before investing yourself in them. But what the hell, I'm open to leaning something new from this. Shouldn't we all?
I'm a pretty regular guy, with a bit of fluctuation between introversion and cursory extroverted tendencies. Am I being vague enough? Good. But to cut down to the bare bones of my opinion of me, I would say that I'm a fun, witty, pseudo sophisticate who tends to wait quietly in the background... Watching... Listening... Waiting, like a ninja... or a furniture. I don't have as enormous or overbearing a personality as this text suggests; it's just me milking the keyboard for all it's worth. But I like hanging out with fun and interesting people, and I'm all in all very laid back and easy to talk to, so I hear. But by that measure, my cat is just as cool a person as I am. All I'm looking for is someone who I can talk to and get to know, and to see where being genuine and nervous and passively trying to impress one another would take two people. Just as long as I can help you feel free to be who you are, then I can honestly say that I have had a good time. Hah! Character max met, with room to spare!
