I think religion is the source of many of the problems in our world. It requires you to believe in rigid (often bigotted) dogma, rather than encourage you to search for the whole truth about any subject.
The only problem with atheism is that it doesn't encourage people to live moral lives. I think a new atheist morality must be developed, to attract young people back into a more moral way of living.
