Lifelong Atheist - it just makes sense to me I am a 28 year-old humor-loving, proudly fashion-challenged science fiction geek, food junkie, casual gamer, history, nature, and architecture buff, sarcastic cynic, tolerant Atheist, social-democratic liberal who still holds out hope that the world can be made a better place. I have educated myself to be a part of the change I hope to see, and am searching for employment in fields related to my urban planning master's degree at present.

To be blunt about my feelings towards the dating/relationship scene (it wouldn't be fair to do otherwise): I have been single for over a year now, following a 5 1/2 year relationship in which I was engaged twice to a woman I loved completely and expected to spend the rest of my life with, and I am still dealing with the shock of that being over. It has taken quite awhile but I am slowly getting more used to the idea of networking in a way that may lead to new friendships and, possibly, even finding someone who I can share a greater connection with.
