Looking for Atheist/Nondrinker My name is Jeremy, and I'm a student at Washington State University. I've recently finished my General Biology degree and I plan on teaching high school science.

I'm fairly shy when it comes to introductions and first meeting people, but I open up very quickly after that. While I am shy at first, I'm definitely the type of person that shares everything with a partner. I keep no secrets, and emotional intimacy is a must eventually. I want someone who is willing to be more than just a girlfriend in the normal sense. I'm looking for someone to share my life with, someone who is willing to be a lover, partner, and best friend.

I see myself as a very loving and caring individual, definitely the hopeless romantic type. Nothing in the world is more important to me than finding that special someone, and I'm really only looking for someone who is interested in a long term relationship. Relationships only end two ways in my mind, and I'm really not looking for another broken heart.

The first big thing about me is that I'm atheist. As an atheist (and a scientist) I'm fairly independent minded, I'm intelligent and I question everything. Independence and a strong mind are traits I value highly in a partner, they're likely must haves.

The second big thing about me is the fact that I don't drink. I never have, and I likely never will (maybe a glass of wine on a special occasion if its important to a partner, but only if they aren't pushy and are willing to accept my not doing so as well). There are a few reasons for this, the main one being the fact that I've seen too many very good people do some very bad things to someone they care about. I'm rather protective and would never do anything to harm someone I cared about, and would never forgive myself if I yelled at or hurt someone I cared about while under the influence.
