1.6% is a Small Number Recently I read about how rare I actually am. Only 1.6% of Americans identify as "Atheist" according to a new Pew Forum study. That's a smaller percentage than "Mormon" (1.7%)! Another 2.4% are agnostic. Not bad, but still a small number.

These stats support my general assumption that it is highly unlikely I will just run into someone who interests me. Thus, I am here.
