Thumbs up for rational and open-minded people! Hello. I'm happy to be here. I was a Christian for about 10 years before I realized how absurd and disappointing that religion is. Most of family is Christian, so it's hard for me to be my total self around them. A lot of them still don't know I'm atheist now. It'll be really nice to talk to and relate with other atheists or agnostics who share the same views with me. I don't like the idea of attacking or hurting those who are spiritual or religious, but I do hope to someday have an impact on others so they can see how ridiculous and dangerous some faiths and religions are. I truly believe that in order for the human race to continue to live and thrive, many more people are going to need to realize that God does not exist (or if he does, he doesn't care to help us) and we are totally responsible for our own future. I want to have fun on this website too, so I am open to talking about many different things, whether that's current news or funny jokes or whatever is on someones mind. I AM single and I am keeping my eyes open for a relationship in the future. I am totally happy with being friends first. However, if I come to a point where I am attracted to a lady and believe there may be some chemistry, I'll probably let her know. To be honest, I don't like being single. Life is too difficult to live on your own, and although I'm not spiritual like some others, I do believe that love is the greatest thing in life. And I must say, love is a choice. It may be a feeling as well, but people choose to feel that way for the most part. I know it can be extremely difficult to let go of a loved one (an ex) and even seem impossible at times. But time usually solves that. I've had my share of heartbeak so I know how it goes. I was having a hard time getting a job recently, so I moved in with my mom. She's awesome. It's temporary though. I plan on going back to college soon. Anyways, thanks for checking out my profile and have fun on atheistpassions!
