Well, part of it has to do with being an atheist. I tend to be an emotionally committed individual and I feel things very strongly; atheism is one of them. I choose not to function with theists beyond a certain level and certainly not in a romantic relationship. I feel that theism is a violation of reason, faith in a power higher than the human consciousness being a fundamental error in the attributing of unknowns to the divine realm.
I am an objectivist and a scientist and I believe in living my life governed by certain principles clearly set out by philosophers but always truly recognized by me; before I could put words with the reality I knew to be true - and denial of my Christian upbringing - I was a skeptic and non-theist having never accepted anything on faith.
That being said, I am a passionate person in terms of relationships. I am cold at first, preferring to observe before showing my personality. Afterward I am warm, romantic, and loyal. I do not really date because I find casual dates unrewarding unless I have something of interest to discuss with the other party; I find casual S-- completely unappealing. I haven't found many women who understand my interests or how I choose to govern my life. I know you are out there and if you are the kind of person I think you are, you would probably also come to this place and seek to be heard.
