The most important reason why I'm an atheist is because I regard any entity that is anything less than omnicient as merely an individual more powerful than I am who is not entitled to my worship, and I regard anything that's omnicient as a non-entity, and, in effect, non-existent. In other words, I won't worship any individual, and an omnicient entity is a non-individual and is therefore meaningless--impossible to worship.

This point of view of mine alienates me from the seriously religious, and even the lazily-theistic--certainly precludes dating. I wish to meet a smart, educated woman who is also an atheist. I find strong willed women very attractive, especially if they are generally curious and really passionate about something. You can hold your own in a debate, and not easily back down. You can be very serious and talk about serious things, and you also like to be relaxed and silly. You're not hard to look at, although your appearence, is not the end all and be all of your existence.

You are also respectful of those who do believe in God, and you're not one of these angry atheists who would sneer in a Christian's face. I've been known to make jokes in private amongst non-religious friends about Christians or other God-believers, I find open hostility and contempt towards people who do believe in god rather unseemly. My attitude is that people who believe in God aren't ipso-facto stupid and ignorant, but are just profoundly wrong. I'm comfortable with leaving it at that, and I seek someone who feels the same way more or less.

Some more random facts about me:
I went to Dartmouth College and graduated from there with a double major in Studio Art and Religion. I'm trying to make it in life as an artist, but I have a day job at a University library. My paintings are largely still-life, but with an unusual twist. I love to cook Indian food, and I do make a really mean chana masala.
