What matters most to you?
We always hear men and women who say that all they wish for is someone who will love them and be honest with them. Even if that is what we want, what will make us happier than anything else, do we tend to dump happiness for the greener pastures that will never be?
The older I get, the more I just want to find someone with a few good merits who I know will be there to share life with me.
It would be so nice if someone would just invent a bracelet that glows when a person close tells you a lie. You have to be a liar first to be a cheater or anything else.

`You allow people to treat you the way you are treated...
I want honesty and require it. If my partner fails to be honest, I usually kick them to the streets. I find it all insulting to live any other way.
I only tend to move towards greener pastures when the one I currently sit in is brown, mushy, and stinky. That could be part of the problem. It is why I maintain my lawn and work on it at all times. When we stop growing, people get bored and move on.

`In my experience respect is one of, and perhaps the, most important concepts in a relationship. Honesty and other aspects follow from respect. We don't lie to or otherwise mistreat people we respect.
