For a starting point I am looking for a friend to talk,cry,laugh,and empathise with about our life on this planet.Due to a set of life happenstances I find myself without any family.I do have friends but not that one special person with whom I can share every thouhgt, feeling and emotion. I want this person to be one who believes in the concept "that a life unexamined is not worth living".I try to hold to Ann Frank's feelings that "in spite of everything,I believe in the basic goodness of mankind".Although I am agnostic, I have no anamosity for people who have faith. I have been there .I am sadden when they are hostil and judgementmental toward others who do not believe as as they do. I do have some friends of faith who live by the positive concepts of faith;love kindness, charity and being non-judgenental.I am a trained socialogist and part of my trying to understand and empathise comes from this discipline.I feel that I can see myself in every man-woman. I would like someone who would get satifaction and meaning in volunteering to work with the elderly,particularly those who find themselves isolated.I would hope that you like to give and receive hugs.
