I have a monist view of human conscienceness. I am a transhumanist, a posthumanist, a skeptic, an atheist and a metaphysical naturalist. I try not to take anything too seriously. I try to learn about as many things as my brain will allow. I'm a consumate geek. There are very few topics that I won't find interesting. I think humans have a biological imperative to learn and discover.

I am pretty much a hippy; the free-thinking, love everyone, peacenik, mind expanding type, not the reject all tennets of society and not bathe (at all) type. I try to live a life of moderation. I'd be a Buddhist monk, as my attachment to society prevents me from living a life as an ascetic. I find S-- absolutely fascinating (in intellectual, physiologically, and sociological ways, as well as for the obivous reasons) and consider myself to be very sex-positive, and a feminist. Also, to complete the decathalon of hippy stereotypes, I'm a vegetarian, an absolute pacifist, I do yoga, I volunteer and plant trees.

Speaking of my hippy tendancies, I have resigned from the world of "dating", or at least what seems fit the ordinary definition. In fact I'm not a fan in general of the way in which society has labeled and partitioned what interpersonal relationships can be. You have a "relationship" in one form or another with everyone you know, some deeper than others, but to draw specific lines seems arbitrary and silly. I also don't think the level of openness one shares with a partner should be limited to just one other person. Idealy, people would be that open to all those around you; friends, family, etc. But that's just me being a hippy. And I also understand that many people are just very codependant, so I don't necessarily condemn the entire practice. I'm just saying that for me, dating, and all the woes that befall it, just does not seem validated.
So, all that said, I'm just looking for new and interesting people with whom to share observations about this ludicrous world.
