As an atheist living in the Bible Belt, it has been really hard to find someone I'm truly comfortable dating. Those who know me would describe me as earthy, grounded (but a little silly sometimes), highly intelligent, open minded and fair, opinionated, liberal, confident and younger looking than my age. I am 5 years out of a 25 year marriage which ended with us wishing each other well and we remain good friends. I have 3 grown children who I adore and admire. I am crazy for dogs and babies.

I am looking for a life partner. I do not need someone to complete me...I am quite whole as I am. But it would be great to find someone that really "gets" me and who cares about how my day went and I theirs. I am not a material kind of person but am not looking for someone who is not employed. A great sense of humor is very important as is charisma. Please don't think me superficial but I am not attracted to someone who is grossly overweight. And no offense to bald men but I like hair. Thoughtfulness and attention to the little things goes a long way. An appreciation for alternative medicine is a plus as that is one of my passions that I have been studying for many years. I was raised (in New York) on show music and I love to sing...despite my kids begging me not to! So if you love the theater that's awesome.
