Rareserendipity, 40

I am hoping to connect with an atheist "good ole boy" (down to earth, NICE, honest, & above all understanding). I am beginning to think that compatible atheist good ole boys are extinct here in Texas , and I am hoping this site will prove me wrong...

I haven't ever used a dating site so I don't know how much you are supposed to explain about yourself, so if you have a question about me please feel free to ask (not sure how that works, I assume there is some way to message)..
So about me... First of all I must explain my luck, I am one of the luckiest unlucky people you will ever encounter (yes I meant to say "luckiest unlucky"). To briefly explain I have bad luck followed by good luck... Here is one example: I have had 8 kidney stones in 8 years (apparently I have genetic predisposition) and I can expect to have more. Kidney stones are the most painful ----ing thing you can imagine, and despite my following every single rule given to me by the doctors, I am almost guaranteed to have more. This is obviously very unlucky. However I am lucky that kidney stones are not deadly, and even luckier that one of them indirectly saved my life (long story).
I went too far into that explaination and I am almost outta room I think so I will make the rest of this short. I guess you could call me in an introvert in that I don't really enjoy large crowds of people I don't know. I prefer smaller groups of friends. I also can't dance and hate clubs (small bars are fine). I am very laid back and easy going which is probably why I am and will always be a somewhat messy person (what's so wrong with dirty clothes on the floor). I LOVE animals of all kinds (except birds & mice). I LOVE traveling. I enjoy bike riding, horse back riding, gardening, reading (sci-fi mostly), writing stories, scary movies, Southpark, 420, swimming, and sleeping in late.
