My main talent is acting; I do voices, characters, and impressions, but I never shy away from being the one behind the camera. I am also a writer with aspirations of becoming a professional author. My main genres are actio dventure, fantasy, and science fiction. My formula for learning to write well is to read and write four to six hours a day. If you cannot find the time for that, you can't expect to become a good writer. I set out each day with a quota of 2,000 words and will not stop writing until it is met. I also have a simple definition for talent in writing: If you wrote something for which someone sent you a check, if you cashed the check and it didn't bounce, and if you then paid the light bill with the money, I consider you talented.
The answer to why I write, act, and direct is fairly simple—there was nothing else I was meant to do. I was meant to tell stories and I love to tell stories, whether its through books, a stage, or from behind a camera. That's why I do it. I really can't imagine doing anything else and I can't imagine not doing what I do. It's the only thing I know and love. Why do you assume I have a choice?
