Why must interests and beliefs be described as passions? (I recommend looking up David Mitchell gets Passionate about Passion on youtube.)

I don't believe in the supernatural. I've met, dated, and wanted to date women who do. It'd be a bonus for me to meet a nice atheist (but I'd rather a nice believer to a nasty atheist.)
