Don't hate me because I'm realistic ... I sometimes envy the religious, in that they have an unconditional happy place when times are tough. BUT, I just can't get my head around the all-or-nothing belief structure.

Having worked as a senior government communications director, and also in the media, I have seen behind the wizard's curtain, and it's a sobering experience. Some folks - not to say I'm better than anyone else - accept what they see/read/hear as gospel ... blind faith, as it were. Scary, kids.

I do believe, loosely, in the karma thing. What goes around; one good deed, etc. I know, flakey, right?
