I am an intellectual college student studying history, and planning on attending graduate school once I finish my B.A. I have many interests and passions from sports to politics to art to travel to literature to video games to movies to music and many many things in between. I was raised in a Christian home and spent 8 years of my life in a Christian school, which has molded many of my feelings and opinions. I've often heard atheists described as "angry with God", I really do not believe I fit in this group. I'm more of an intellectual/scientific atheist in the mold of Bertram Russell. I would like to believe in God, Santa Clause and the Tooth Fairy, I just cannot find a reason to give it any more credibility than a Greek myth. If I was to tell someone that I worship Zeus for example because I saw lightning and asked it to stop and it did, they would call me nuts because intellectual and reasonably it doesn't make sense. Yet they do the same to me with their god, and expect it to make sense to me. I don't understand the difference there. I am seeking a partner in life, to be with the rest of my life. Someone who I can see the world with, someone I can experience both the good and the bad with every single day. She needs to be intellectual, intelligent, loving, caring, complex, mature. I really don't get along with people my age as well as I do those older than I am. It would be nice if she feels the same, that her goals and interests and passions are not usually found in most 18-25 year olds.
