right now im just kind of confused about what to believe. I dont believe in religion, however I do believe there MAY be some sort of higher God. so I guess i would be considered an agnostic or maybe just a free thinker?... Im basically on here to look for people I can relate to and who share some of the same views as I. Everyone in my family is a christian, so its kind of hard to talk to anyone about the way I feel. One time I told my cousin that I didnt believe in Jesus; he told me I might go to hell, I needed to go to chuch, and that if I didnt believe in God, then, I 'would believe anything!' LOL. I dont really speak about my religion bcus I fear that most ppl wont have anything to do with me if I do. But at the same time I feel like I should be able voice my opinion - christians force their beliefs on ppl all the time!... I basically want to know how other atheists, agnostics, etc. managed to overcome that fear of not feeling accepted or just being misjudged. I do care about what others think of me (and maybe thats my problem?), especially my family.
