Unabashed atheist & geek. Basically, I view religion as a fairy tale that our parents neglected to tell us was 'just a story.' Why parents tell us all stories are false "well, except this one" is a bit of a mindbender.

Taken all together there are hundreds if not thousands of religions in the world. Most are contradictory. They can't all be right. Most likely, they are ALL wrong.

That's my position and I'm sticking to it.

Without an external authority, it is up to us to shape our world, keep ourselves happy and healthy and make the world a better place for ourselves and our children.

Sadly, most people are so caught up in scratching at their little patches of dirt for sustenance and to acquire material things for themselves and their small brood, that nobody takes a look at the bigger picture.

That said, I'm looking for someone on a similar wavelength and path. I'm a bit of a geek/nerd/intellectual. Not a big partier, a bit of a homebody. Prefer folks like myself, as I'm sure we all do to some degree.
