Life is too short to be ruled by religion My name is Nick, I was born to a catholic family and raised that way. But I always had doubts, and I was never truly faithful to something I could not understand. It was only after a very hard part of my life when I realized that I was in this alone. There was no divine being to help me, I did all of the work! After that moment atheism looked more appealing to me than anything else.

It was not easy, my parents did not take the news nicely, and a girl I found attractive refused to talk to me because I was atheist. But I stick to my beliefs. If I am wrong, I am wrong, that is that. And If I am forced to spend an eternity in hell because I refused to follow the doctrines of a church, then that would not have been a religion worth following in the first place.

If you share my beliefs, or if you don't, I want to hear about it. Religion has always been a fascinating subject, history has been forever shaped by it. I just think it is time we embraced who we are and realized the power of humanity. We can do all these things if we stop limiting ourselves.
