In my opinion, the agreement on religious views is critical to a successful relationship, as well as mutual respect. I admire strong critical thinking skills and logic, and for anybody that believes in a god or holds religious views in general, that tells me that individual is lacking in critical thinking skills.

Life is much better lived without the belief in a celestial dictator that watches our every move. Religion, and the notion of god is clearly man made. As in the subtitle of the great christopher hitchens' book "religion poisons everything."

I believe that atheists have the upper hand in terms of living a fulfilling life and in making the world a better place, due to the the atheists rational perspective of the world and life.
