I'm a physics student in Oxford (Keble College to be exact) about half of the year. The rest of the time I'm in Solihull in the West Midlands, but you have to pick one place here.

I'm interested in rationality generally, hence my membership of the atheist, maths, physics and science societies, and I'd rather associate with those who also form their beliefs on the basis of evidence. A fellow Oxford student would be best I suppose.

Now, a little about myself: I've always enjoyed the roles of maths and science in explaining things, and fortunately I'm very good at maths, which helped no end. I like comedies (mainly American and British sitcoms), and occasionally go to cinemas and theatres.

Presumably anyone on Atheist Passions probably wants to get an idea of what sort of an atheist I am. Activist is probably the best word for it. I'm a committee member (publicity spokesperson) of the Oxford Atheist Society, and I've read all the main "new atheist" books, and wouldn't mind writing one my self. I also frequent richarddawkins.net. The South Park 2-parter about RD are the only episodes of it I haven't seen yet, but from what I've read of it I don't think it would be worth it. Still though, I'd hate to be called close-minded, so I should sooner or later.
