Hi! I just thought I'd give this a try. I've always hoped to meet an intellectual girl who shares my curiosity about the world and who sees beyond the surface of people, places, and events to question deeper meaning. I'd be happy to chat with anyone who's just interested in chatting, but am also always open to the possibility of a potential friendship or relationship. I'm currently approaching the completion of my graduate degree in biology. I'm creative, intelligent, and have an absurd sense of humor. I love to discuss politics and philosophy, go to concerts, camping/hiking/running, and generally being outside. I care deeply about social and environmental justice and peace/non-violence. I oppose all war and violence, even if it purports to be in the interest of some well-intentioned goal (usually misguided), hence I am a strong critic of the U.S. government (irrespective of party affiliations). It is important to me that I meet someone who also cares deeply about the world, whether or not we share specific interests. Although an atheist, I respect all religious beliefs unless the expression of those beliefs restricts the personal freedoms of others or the progress of science for the good of humanity.
