A thinker/talker/listener, I love hearing other people's stories and talking about everything under the sun, e.g. belief/non-belief, history, science, human behavior, technology trends, etc. I have a dry sense of humor; I enjoy poking fun at everyday absurdities. I question everything, and I'm ok with saying "I don't know" about some things and keeping an open mind pending new evidence.
A lifelong animal lover, I have two dogs and a cat. I enjoy road trips, hiking, camping, swimming, bike riding, going the zoo, billiards. I love to read, mostly history, psychology, science, neuroscience (how ironic is it is that the human brain evolved to be predisposed to belief in a god?!), etc.
I'm an atheist, skeptic, and secular humanist. I was never infected with the christian virus, thank god! lol, but I was generally spiritual (pantheist is probably the best description) up until a few years ago. A period of truth-seeking begun in 2004 (thanks neocons!) ultimately led to my non-belief. I'm with Hitch that religion poisons everything. I'm not "in your face" about my atheism, but I do drop the "A" bomb at opportune moments, sometimes in annoyance (being told to have a "blessed" day is a guaranteed trigger!

I'm also open to friendship and conversation. I'm the sole atheist in my circle, so it's a treat to talk with other non-believers.
