Atheist looking for like-minded company I was raised in a Christian super church in SoCal and moved to Indy 8 years ago. I am surrounded by strictly religious people everywhere with a church on every corner. I am yearning to make friendships with and date others who are "insane" like me. I feel that searching online is the only way to find local atheists without fear of being stoned in public. I am initially shy, but am almost a completely different person once I am comfortable around you. I feel almost like an anomaly because I am an extrovert and love being funny but can also be a relaxed couch potato at the same time. I am a nerd in the truest sense. I grew up with Star Wars, Start Trek, comics, all sorts of sci-fi, history, and was always told that "...if I only applied myself I would get very far." I want to meet people whom I can "nerd-out" with and stimulate the intellectual side of myself without fear of alienating others or just feeling awkward. I am also creative and have a talent for singing and dancing. It's been years since I've been clubbing, but I still love to sing over a good R&B song. I am really just looking for female friends and romance. I have more guy friends from work like me than I care to count. My initial shyness prevents me from breaking the ice with most females in public.
