Lonely Buckeye I am a marine biologist working for the federal government. My job is tough, challenging, and very rewarding. I play ice hockey as the goalie. The ice hockey goalie is the most important position in a very fast and difficult game. I enjoy both the physical and mental challenges of being the goalie, capable of both single-handily winning or losing games. I take weekly yoga classes for the benefits to my hockey (strength and flexibility) as well as its spiritual benefits (confidence, sense of calm, ability to focus, etc.). I ride a motorcycle both for pleasure and to get into the carpool lanes for work meetings. The gas mileage is incredible as is the feeling of the free wind. I enjoy watching movies (both at home and at the theater), reading books, and finding new restaurants. I own my own house in a nice neighborhood. I am divorced with one daughter who is now living on her own while attending community college. We have a great relationship. She works within my organization as a student intern, so I can still see her often, even though she now lives on her own. My relationship with my ex is cordial and positive. We talk periodically, mostly about our daughter, still trying to be parents. Family is important to me. I have a scuba certification, although I haven't dove in a while. I'd like to get back into it again, but need a dive partner. I am currently living with three cats, all males. The first two my daughter and I adopted from apartment owners who hardly ever got to see sunlight. The two are brothers. The third my daughter rescued from the shelter, it looked like the mother had given birth in the shelter cage.
