I am an independent thinker who does not follow the crowd (just like everyone else), and I would rather spend time alone than with the wrong person. The bar scene is definitely not for me - I'm much more comfortable one-on-one. I enjoy reading (mostly nonfiction lately) and I am not afraid to try new things, even if I look a bit silly in the process. Recently I've taken to cooking, and I also enjoy playing ice hockey and the guitar (I'm not very good at either, but I have fun, and that's what counts, right?) My tastes are a bit on the eclectic side - I don't look to the masses to tell me what to like, although I’m not one of those pretentious types who pretends to hate something just because others like it. I consider myself to be steady, deliberate, and thoughtful in every sense of the word, but that doesn't mean that I don't have a surprise or two up my sleeve.

I'm looking for someone who doesn't mind taking things slow. If you find the prospect of slightly awkward but totally sincere romantic gestures appealing, and you are not a diva, drama queen, or damsel in distress (been there, done that), I just might be the guy for you.
