He is the greatest, and just tells it like it is... Religion, god, society, government, and etc. Everything from his silly to sick and twisted humor is great also. In fact, I think he has gotten better over time.
I own all his standups from hbo on dvds and have 2 books, 1 which is signed by him. Didn't meet him, but it got sent back to him while my dad and I saw him at a live show when I was 16, which was 3 years ago.
Anyways, are there any big fans of his as well?? And what do you people like about him a lot?

Do what you want to the girl just leave me alone!
George Carlin has been hilarious forever because his material always changes for the better and he delivers it like it was all the same old gag. That's why he's always going to be cool.

I'm a massive Carlin fan.I've seen and practically memorized all his standup. I saw him live one time as well.I'm a die hard comedy fan.I can list my favorites but that would take too long. But he's at the top, with richard pryor, eddie izzard, jim norton, mitch hedberg etc. One of my favorite Carlin acts is the football/baseball comparison.

`I'm going to miss his humour. Not that I believe in souls, but... I felt like going outside and tossing a frisbee up on my roof.

`George Carlin didn't consider himself an atheist. Although, I'm sure people inferred that through his work, but when he was questioned closely, he seemed to imply that he believed in something more transcendental about life and of the universe. He even joked about what he called "the big electron," something he used in his stand-up, but has admitted in interviews that it was something he actually would discuss with his brother.
